“Although only minutes from Meridian and Boise, Kuna is a world apart from any other community it surrounds.
As the rest of Ada County has replaced farmland with subdivisions, Kuna is the true heart of the county's agricultural community.
As the rest of Ada and Canyon counties converge in Kuna every other year to participate in the Kuna FFA Chapter's Semi-Annual Agricultural Exposition. About 115 FFA high school students this year helped educate children about the importance and necessity of agriculture in the world. Many families just starting out are moving to the quiet community because they can build their homes for less and live in a family-friendly small town within a few miles of bigger city amenities.
Kuna's population has more than doubled since 1995, going from 2,246 to 4,538 September 2000, according to the Community Planning Association of Southwest Idaho.
Like most small towns, Kuna fosters a strong community spirit among its residents. In June, the city will once again celebrate Kuna Days, featuring a parade, a city barbecue and a getting together with neighbors." As reported by Kendra Martinez September 24, 2000.
